Nate Davis of USA Today released his latest NFL mock draft, and former University of Utah offensive tackle Garett Bolles landed with the Detroit Lions at No. 21.
Of Bolles, Davis wrote, “His sweet feet were on full display in Indianapolis, and he’s got a mean streak that the folks in Motown would surely appreciate. Last year’s first rounder, Taylor Decker, played capably at left tackle but could flip to the right side if Bolles proves the better option on QB Matthew Stafford’s blind side.”
Possible NIT matchup projected between Utes and Cougars
NYC Buckets released its latest NIT Bracketology and both the Utah Utes and the BYU Cougars are in the field.
The site has Utah as a No. 2 seed facing off against the New Mexico State Aggies in the first round. It also the Cougars in the same bracket as the No. 3 seed squaring off against the Fresno State Bulldogs.
If Utah and BYU win their first round matchups, they would face off in the second round.
