Iowa State wing Deonte Burton has explosiveness for days, and he showed it off once again in the Big 12 Tournament championship.
With the Cyclones holding a 73-64 lead late in the second half against West Virginia, Burton caught a perfect lob pass from Naz Mitrou-Long and hammered home a one-handed finish over a Mountaineers’ defender.
Burton finished with 16 points, five rebounds and three steals as the Cyclones held on for the 80-74 win for their third Big 12 Tournament title in four years.
