The BYU Cougars used a dominating second half performance to knock off the UMass Minutemen 51-9 at LaVell Edwards Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Holding on to a five-point lead, BYU outscored the Minutemen 37-0 in the second half to improve to 7-4 on the season.

Massachusetts went up 6-0 when Andrew Ford found Bernard Davis for a 70-yard touchdown. The defense came up big to give the Minutemen the ball when Tyshaun Ingram recovered a Taysom Hill fumble.
BYU answered on the next possession to take the lead when KJ Hall found the end zone from 11 yards out. Hall was massive on the drive with four carries for 36 yards.
