BYU basketball analysis: How the Cougars knocked off the Chanticleers

PROVO — BYU got another strong performance from Eric Mika as he led the Cougars to an 81-65 win over Coastal Carolina at the Marriott Center Saturday night.

He registered another double-double with 19 points on 8-of-12 shooting to go along with 11 rebounds. L.J. Rose and Nick Emery also provided solid efforts as the Cougars improved to 3-0 on the season. Rose finished with nine points, a game-high nine assists and six rebounds, while Emery totaled 14 points on 50 percent shooting from the floor.

 Elijah Wilson and Joseph Williams-Powell paced the Coastal Carolina starting unit with 11 points each, while Demario Beck added 11 points and eight rebounds off the bench.
