Behind a great team effort on the road, Philadelphia beat Denver 114-102 on Wednesday night.
The 76ers finished with seven players in double-figures led by Evan Turner with 23 points. He also added six assists, five rebounds and two steals. Three other starters had solid all-around games in the victory as well. Thaddeus Young put up 17 points, 10 rebounds and two steals. Spencer Hawes registered 13 points, eight rebounds, four assists and two steals. Michael Carter-Williams added 16 points, nine rebounds, six assists and two steals.
All five Nuggets’ starters finished in double figures, but it wasn’t enough. J.J. Hickson led the way with 19 points and 11 rebounds while Ty Lawson added 15 points, six rebounds and 11 assists.
Brandon Davies played 5:36 and was 1-of-2 from the floor to finish the game with two points. Davies also added a rebound, an assist and a block.
The Sixers will be back on the floor on Thursday night when they take on the Kings in Sacramento.
