BYU delivered its biggest win of the season on Monday night, knocking off the No. 20 ranked Saint Mary’s Gaels, 85-72.
While fans were clearly pumped about the victory, BYU also got a lot of love on social media from some legends of the program.
Former national player of the year, Jimmer Fredette, shared his thoughts on the win and also gave some serious love to coach Dave Rose.
His back court mate while at BYU, Jackson Emery, had plenty to say during the matchup with the Gaels, including comments about the team play and how well Yoeli Childs performed.
Kyle Collinsworth also shared some thoughts during the game while cheering on his former teammates.
He also brought up how the game was being officiated.
Brandon Davies mentioned the win before turning his attention to the Cougars’ matchup with Gonzaga.
He also tagged current Zalgiris Kaunas teammate and former Gonzaga star point guard, Kevin Pangos, in the post after making his bold statements, continuing their social media rivalry tweets from earlier in the season.
Trent Plaisted had a lot of things to say about how the Cougars performed in the win and the progress they have made this season.
Danny Ainge also shared his support for the Cougars retweeting a post from Ryan Smith that Ainge was tagged in.
