Morning links: Patrick, Dimick, Nacua, Brown profiled; Utes strength of schedule ranked

While grading every NFL team’s undrafted free-agent haul, Gary Davenport of Bleacher Report had plenty to say about former BYU Cougars Kai Nacua and Algernon Brown as well as former Utah Utes, Tim Patrick and Hunter Dimick.

Speaking about Patrick, who signed with the Baltimore Ravens, Davenport wrote, “Utah’s Tim Patrick is lanky and quick with the ability to high-point the football well. Talking about Nacua, who signed with the Cleveland Browns, Davenport continued, “Safety Kai Nacua of Brigham Young is a rangy and athletic ball hawk who measured third among all safeties in the this year’s draft in the SPARQ metric. It’s a guarantee that tidbit didn’t escape the attention of Cleveland’s analytically driven front office.”

Talking about Dimick as a key addition for the Jacksonville Jaguars, Davenport wrote, “the Jaguars may have gotten a gift this year in the form of Utah defensive end Hunter Dimick.”

Discussing Brown, who signed with the Seattle Seahawks, Davenport said, “BYU fullback Algernon Brown is a bruising 250-pounder at a position where the Seahawks have a need.”
