The close of the regular season has had its ups and downs for the players who transferred from local schools. While some of the players have made major contributions, others have struggled to produce due to injuries, lack of playing time or academic ineligibility.
Here is a look at the local players who transferred to other Division I schools and how they have performed so far this season.
Isaac Neilson, UVU
While he has been limited to just 7.1 shot attempts per game, Neilson has put up some very solid numbers. One of his best recent showings came in a 77-71 loss to Grand Canyon when he totaled 10 points on 5 for 7 shooting while grabbing 13 rebounds in just 19 minutes of action.
On the season, he is averaging 10.3 points on 58.1 percent shooting with 9.2 rebounds and 1.6 blocks in 28 games.
Frank Bartley IV, Louisiana-Lafayette
Bartley has put up some nice numbers of late as the Ragin’ Cajuns have won three straight games. His best scoring output during that stretch came in a 79-77 win over Coastal Carolina when he totaled a team-high 19 points to go along with four rebounds, an assist and a steal in 35 minutes.
On the season, he is averaging 15.7 points on 44.9 percent shooting with 4.4 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.5 steals in 28 games.
