BYU basketball analysis: How the Cougars got embarrassed by the Wolverines

The Utah Valley Wolverines looked right at home on the Marriott Center floor as they torched the BYU defense on the way to a 114-101 win on Saturday afternoon.

The Cougars had no answers for the hot-shooting Wolverines, who connected on 18 of 37 shots from beyond the arc to beat BYU for the first time ever.

 Former Cougar big man Isaac Neilson led the way for Utah Valley with 26 points on 10-for-12 shooting from the floor with nine rebounds, while Brandon Randolph added 21 points, 14 assists and nine rebounds.

Two other Wolverines hit the 20-point mark, including Conner Toolson, who had 21 points on 7-for-13 shooting from the field, while Jordan Poydras chipped in with 20 points, five rebounds and three assists.
