The BYU Cougars got off to a hot start and never looked back as they knocked off the Coppin State Eagles 96-59 at the Marriott Center on Thursday night.
The Cougars scored the first nine points of the game and 14 of the first 16 on the way to their second win in as many chances.
Eric Mika led four Cougars in double figures with a game-high 18 points on 6 for 8 shooting from the floor and 6 for 7 from the free-throw line with five rebounds and three blocks.
Nick Emery added 13 points and three assists while Yoeli Childs totaled eight points and 15 rebounds off the bench.
