The Utah Utes vaulted up the rankings this week in the CBS Sports 128, which ranks every Division I football program.
Utah was one of the biggest movers in the poll, jumping from No. 25 to No. 17.
“Now at 4-0, Kyle Whittingham has the Utes positioned to make a run in the wide-open Pac-12 South. There are tough spots ahead in October against UCLA and Washington, but it’s time to start considering the idea that Utah-Colorado on Nov. 26 could be a winner-take-all for the division title,” writes Chip Patterson.
BYU and Utah State both took big hits in the rankings after losing tough games over the weekend. The Cougars fell from No. 58 to No. 68 while the Aggies dropped three spots from No. 77 to No. 80.
