The Cougar NBA tracker, Brandon Davies: Summer league, game 4

Joe Young took advantage of being the go-to guy for the day and led the Pacers to a 91-85 win in Orlando on Thursday afternoon. Myles Turner, Solomon Hill and Shayne Whittingham were all given the day off, but Indiana still had enough fire power to get its first win of the summer.

Young led the way with 28 points on 9-for-17 shooting from the floor, including 5-for-9 from 3-point land to go along with three rebounds and three assists. He had plenty of help as Arinze Onuaka and Romero Osby reached double figures. Onuaka finished with 11 points on 50 percent shooting from the field with nine rebounds and two assists while Osby totaled 12 points and six rebounds. Trent Lockett added seven points, four rebounds, four assists and two steals.

The Orlando Magic Blue team were without three stars of their own (Aaron Gordon, Elfrid Payton and Mario Hezonja all had the day off), but still put up an excellent fight in the loss.

Tyler Harvey and Devyn Marble did most of the damage on the offensive end. Harvey registered 24 points on 8-for-13 shooting from the floor, including 4-for-7 from beyond the arc. He added five assists and two rebounds in 25:12. Marble added 22 points on 8-for-17 shooting from the floor, including 5-for-9 from distance to go along with seven rebounds and three assists. Jordan Morgan chipped in with 10 points and seven rebounds while Peyton Siva had eight points and four assists.

Brandon Davies came of the bench and had some solid moments in limited minutes. He totaled two points on 1-for-2 shooting from the floor as well as two assists in 9:12 of action. While most of his time on the offensive end was used as a screener, Davies made some nice plays when he was aggressive. His only basket came in the fourth quarter when he knocked down and 18-foot jumper on a pick-and-pop. He added a really nice assist when he drew a double-team on the block and found Marble for a wide open 3-pointer.

He also cleaned up some things that he had struggled with during the first few games with the Blue. He committed just two fouls and had no turnovers against the Pacers .
