The Brooklyn Nets had no answer for Dwyane Wade or Chris Bosh as they fell to the Miami Heat 88-84 on Sunday.
Bosh paced the Heat with 26 points on 10 of 16 shooting from the floor to go along with five rebounds while Wade added 25 points, seven assists and six rebounds. Miami also got a big night from Hassan Whiteside who had 11 points on 5 of 7 shooting from the field to go along with 10 rebounds and five blocked shots.
Joe Johnson led the Nets with 19 points on 8 of 22 shooting from the floor with four assists and three rebounds. Brook Lopez and Deron Williams also made solid contributions in the loss. Lopez had 16 points on 6 of 11 shooting from the field as well as seven rebounds while Williams finished with 13 points, eight assists and six rebounds. Mirza Teletovic chipped in with 14 points while Mason Plumlee added 12 points on 5 of 6 shooting and five boards.
Brandon Davies did not play as the Nets fell to 16-17 on the season. He has struggled to find minutes in his new situation with such an established front court already in place.
Up next for Davies and Brooklyn is a matchup with the Dallas Mavericks on Monday.
