Jimmer Fredette sat as the New Orleans Pelicans fell to the Washington Wizards 83-80 on Saturday night.
The Pelicans had no answers for Washington big man Marcin Gortat who registered 24 points on 12 of 20 shooting from the floor to go along with 13 rebounds, four blocks, two assists and two steals. The Wizards also got double figure scoring nights out of Bradley Beal, John Wall and Paul Pierce. After playing a season-high on Friday night, Fredette didn’t play against the Wizards, which gives him six DNP’s in 15 games this year. The Pelicans are just 2-4 when he doesn’t make an appearance, according to basketball-reference.com.
Up next for Fredette and New Orleans is Tuesday matchup with the Oklahoma City Thunder.
