Brandon Davies had rough night as the Philadelphia 76ers dropped to 0-16 on the season with a 110-103 home loss to the Dallas Mavericks.
Tyson Chandler led a balanced Mavericks attack as Dirk Nowitzki took the night off. Chandler had 20 points on 7 of 9 shooting to go along with 13 rebounds, four steals and three assists. Monta Ellis chipped in with 18 points, five assists, four rebounds and three steals while Chandler Parsons added 17 points, six rebounds and six assists.
K.J. McDaniels and Michael Carter-Williams had big nights for the 76ers in the loss. McDaniels totaled 21 points, 13 rebounds (nine offensive), and two blocks while Carter-Williams had a triple-double with 18 points, 16 assists and 10 rebounds. Philadelphia also got nice efforts out of Alexey Shved and Nerlens Noel. Shved had 18 points, five assists and four rebounds off the bench while Noel had a 10 points and nine rebounds.
Brandon Davies scored just one point on a night where he was 0 of 3 from the floor and 1 of 2 from the free-throw line in 13:24. He did manage three rebounds, including one on the offensive end, but also had a five fouls and a turnover for the struggling Sixers.
