Brandon Davies saw plenty of action as the Philadelphia 76ers got absolutely pounded 123-70 by the Dallas Mavericks on Thursday night.
13 Mavericks scored in the blowout victory, including five in double figures. Dirk Nowitzki led the way with 21 points on 7 of 8 shooting from the field and 6-for-7 from the free-throw line. Monta Ellis also had a solid night with 14 points, four rebounds, four assists and three steals while Chandler Parsons and Brandon Wright each chipped in with 14 points.
Philadelphia got Michael Carter-Williams back in the lineup, but it didnt matter as the 76ers found themselves in a 44-point hole at halftime after scoring just 29 points in the opening two quarters. Carter-Williams did led the Sixers with 19 points, eight rebounds and five assists. The only other player to score in double figures on the night was Tony Wroten who totaled 11 points.
Davies played 18:24 and registered five points on 2 of 5 shooting from the floor, including 1-for-2 from 3-point range. He also added four offensive rebounds and an assist as well as three turnovers.
Up next for Davies and the winless 76ers is matchup with the defending champion San Antonio Spurs on Friday night.
