Behind a massive scoring night from D.J. Augustin off the bench and a near triple-double from Joakim Noah the Chicago Bulls outlasted the Boston Celtics 107-102 on Sunday night.
Augustin scored 33 points on 10-of-14 shooting from the floor and 10-of-10 from the free-throw line. Noah added 13 points, 13 assists and eight rebounds. Jimmy Butler chipped in 15 points, five rebounds and three steals while Carlos Boozer added 14 points and six boards.
Rajon Rondo led the way for the Celtics with 17 points, 11 assists, four rebounds and two steals. Jared Sullinger registered 16 points and 10 rebounds. Boston also got 16 points, five rebounds and two steals from Jeff Green as well as 14 points and six boards from Kris Humphries.
Fredette did not play in the win. He has played just 21 minutes in five appearances since signing with Chicago.
Chicago is back in action on Monday night when they face the Celtics for the second time in as many days.
