Someone forgot to tell the Detroit Pistons that they were facing one of the worst teams in NBA history on Saturday night. Instead, they looked like the team in the midst a league record tying 26 game losing streak as the Philadelphia 76ers destroyed the Pistons 123-98.
Thaddeus Young and Michael Carter-Williams led the way for the Sixers with 21 points a piece. Carter-Williams also added seven rebounds, four assists and four steals. Philadelphia also got double figures in scoring from Henry Sims with 16, Hollis Thompson with 14 and Elliot Williams 13 off the bench.
Greg Monroe led Detroit with 20 points and 10 rebounds. Rodney Stuckey added 17 points, four rebounds, four assists and a pair of steals while Kentavious Caldwell-Pope chipped in with 16 points, four rebounds, two steals and two blocks.
Brandon Davies played 13:34 in the win and finished with four points on 100 percent shooting to go along with four rebounds.
The 76ers are back in action on Monday night when they travel to Atlanta to take on the Hawks.
