The Cougar NBA tracker: Brandon Davies, game 58

Note: following the 76ers has been a struggle for me this year because they are terrible, but I do it because I am a huge fan of BYU and Brandon Davies.  It has been even more painful since Davies got hurt.  Since Philadelphia traded Evan Turner and Spencer Hawes at the trade deadline it has been unbearable.  The Sixers might have the worst NBA team of all time as presently constituted.  It must be so painful to be a 76ers fan right now.  I guess that is the beauty of trying to build for the future through the draft and trying to position yourself to do so.

Led by a huge effort from Nikola Vucevic, the Orlando Magic outlasted Philadelphia 101-90 on Wednesday night.  Vucevic registered 21 points, 13 rebounds and three blocked shots as the Magic won only their fourth road game in 31 chances on the season.  Orlando also got double-doubles from Jameer Nelson who finished with 16 points and 12 assists as well as Victor Oladipo who put up 17 points and 11 rebounds.

Thaddeus Young and Tony Wroten led the way for the Sixers in the loss.  Young tallied 19 points while Wroten came away with 15 points and five rebounds off the bench.

Davies is still out of action while recovering from his injured finger.

The 76ers are back on the floor on Saturday night as the Washington Wizards come to town.
