It’s just one game

It feels like people just need something to talk about on sports radio on a day-to-day basis.  That can be the only reason for the drivel that I have heard this morning while I have been at work.

What does last night’s Miami Heat 107-95 victory over the Chicago Bulls mean?  Contrary to what some talking heads are saying, it means absolutely nothing other than a game in the win column.  As for any other meaning? There isn’t anything there, you are all just fishing.

We learned nothing from the Chicago Bulls last night.  If we apply the logic of the talking heads out there then we also learned that the Clippers can’t compete either and that is just as silly as saying that the Bulls can’t hang with the best based solely on one game.

Derrick Rose played his first game in a long time and showed more than his fair share of rust , but that is be expected.  What did people think?  Was he supposed to go off for 50 in his first game back or something? Come on, let’s be realistic here.

Do I think that the Bulls are better than the Heat? Probably not, but I do think they will have a much better shot after Rose shakes of the rust and Joakim Noah is playing at 100 percent.  Why does everyone react after just one game?  It’s not necessary.

Let’s remember that there are still 81 games to go and a lot can change over that time.
