BYU Cougs in the news: Mika has another double-double; Collinsworth catches fire from three; Chatman lights it up in Europe Cup (video)

Wednesday was a day of big performances on the basketball court for a trio of former Cougars.

Eric Mika delivered another terrific game as the Stockton Kings went into Texas and knocked off the Legends, 140-122.

In the win, Mika finished with 22 points on 8-for-11 shooting from the field and 3-for-4 at the foul line. He added 11 rebounds (three on the offensive end) for his fifth double-double of the season while handing out two assists in 34 minutes.

Mika did a lot of his damage close to the basket with some thunderous dunks, layups and jump hooks.

The NBA G-League YouTube channel shared highlights of the strong showing.

Through six games, Mika is averaging 19.7 points on 54.2 percent shooting from the field and 71.4 percent at the free-throw line. He is also averaging a league-best 16.2 rebounds a night, 3.2 assists, and 1.0 blocks in 37.2 minutes.

Kyle Collinsworth also had a big impact in a G-League contest as the Salt Lake Stars came away with a 111-99 win over the Sioux Falls Skyforce. In the victory, he recorded 17 points on 50 percent shooting from the field, including 3-for-4 from 3-point range. He added seven rebounds (three on the offensive end), four assists and a block in 28 minutes.

Collinsworth got his offense going early on with seven first-quarter points on a layup, his first three of the season and a putback off an offensive rebound. He followed that up with a pair of triples in the second quarter as the Stars extended their lead to 12 at the half.

Through four games, Collinsworth is averaging 13.8 points on 45.8 percent shooting, 30 percent from beyond the arc and 71.4 percent at the charity stripe. He also chips in with 9.0 rebounds, and 4.5 assists in 28.7 minutes.

Jordan Chatman had his best game of the season as BC CSU Sibiu beat Fribourg Olympic, 91-69. In the much-needed Europe Cup win, he registered 25 points on 8-for-11 shooting from the field, including a blistering 7-for-9 from 3-point land and 2-for-2 at the fou line. He added two rebounds and a pair of assists in 34:50 on the court.

Through five Europe Cup games, Chatman is averaging 15 points on a ridiculous 55.6 percent shooting from beyond the arc to go along with 2.6 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 30 minutes.

His four 3-point makes a game are the most in the competition while his 55.6 percent is ranked No. 8.

Brandon Davies was in action on Wednesday as well and had a nice outing as FC Barcelona came away with an 89-63 victory over Fenerbahce. In the win, he managed 10 points on 5-for-8 shooting from the floor. He also chipped in with five rebounds, two steals, an assist, and a block in 23:29.

Through nine EuroLeague games, Davies is averaging 8.7 points on 50.8 percent shooting from inside the arc and 83.3 percent a the free-throw line. He also contributes 4.1 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.0 steals in 21:34.
