Eric Mika returned to action on Sunday and delivered arguably his best game of the season as VL Pesaro came away with a stunning 77-74 win over top ranked Umana Reyer Venezia.

The former BYU big man was a dunking machine as he carried the Pesaro offense with 21 points on the strength of 7-for-11 shooting from the field and a perfect 7-for-7 from the free-throw line. He was also a monster on the backboards with a game-high tying eight rebounds (four of the offensive end) to go along with a blocked shot in 27 minutes of work coming off the bench.

One of Mika’s best stretches of the night came late in the second and early in the third as he showed of his finishing skills around the rim with three big slams as VL Pesaro took the lead.

The Victoria Libertas Pesaro YouTube channel shared highlights of the game, including a trio of dunks by Mika.

Mika’s strong performance was ranked third in the league in the Player of the Week rankings on Eurobasket.com.

In 28 games, he is averaging 14.2 points on 54 percent shooting from inside the arc to go along with 7.3 rebounds, 1.3 steals and 1.1 assists in 28.7 minutes.

Matt Carlino also delivered a massive performance on Sunday, but it wasn’t enough to lead The Roseto Sharks to a win in the third and deciding game of the playout series against Virtus Rome.
