Matt Carlino had his best offensive night as a pro as his short-handed Roseto Sharks fell to De ‘Longhi Treviso, 98-80.
In the loss, Carlino dropped a game-high 35 points on 12-for-23 shooting from the field, including 9-for-17 from 3-point land. He added three assists, two rebounds and a steal in 30 minutes of work.Β It was Carlino’s second 30-point game of the season and the 11th time he has hit the 20 point mark.
On the year, he is averaging 19.3 points, 5.1 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 1.4 steals in 30.6 minutes.
Eric Mika also had the best game of his professional career on Sunday as VL Pesaro lost to Scandone Avellino, 103-81.
In the loss, Mika totaled 22 points on 9-for-15 shooting from the field and 4-for-5 from the foul line. He added a team-high nine rebounds, four assists and a game-high three steals in 31 minutes.Β It was Mika’s fifth 20-point game of the season and his 22nd time scoring double figures.
In 26 games, he is averaging 14.3 points on 53.8 percent shooting with 7.4 rebounds, 1.3 steals and 1.2 assists in 29.2 minutes.
Brandon Davies had a big night on both ends of the floor as Zalgiris Kaunas held onto first place with a 77-66 win over Lietuvos rytas on Friday.
In the win, Davies totaled a game-high 14 points on 60 percent shooting from the floor and a prefect 8-for-8 from the foul line. He added a game-best four blocks to go along with three rebounds and an assist in 17:39.
With the victory, Zalgiris now owns a two-game lead over Lietuvos rytas for top spot in the Lithuanian League standings.
In 30 games, Davies is averaging a team-high 9.1 points on 56.7 percent shooting with 5.1 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 16:10.
Charles Abouo had a solid game on Friday in a 66-65 loss to Poitiers.
In the one-point setback, Abouo finished with seven points, four rebounds, three assists and two steals in 24 minutes.
Through 28 French League games, Abouo is averaging 13.2 points on 45.3 percent shooting to go along with 4.4 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.8 steals in 28.1 minutes.
Rashaun Broadus also made an impact of late as Vytautas came through with a pair of LKL wins.
In a 96-79 win over Nevezis on Thursday, Broadus totaled nine points on 50 percent shooting from the field and 4-for-4 from the foul line. He added five assists, four steals and three rebounds in the terrific all-around performance.
Broadus followed that up with a nice game on Sunday in a 74-63 win over Dzukija where he recorded six points, a game-high five assists, two rebounds and a steal in 24:28.
Through 10 games, Broadus is averaging 5.5 points, 2.9 assists, 1.3 rebounds and 1.1 steals in 18:26.
