Morning links: Stockton, Malone ranked top 30 NBA players ever; Ingles is ripped … electronically

Gerald Bourguet of Fansided’s Hoops Habit ranked the 50 greatest NBA players of all-time, and both John Stockton and Karl Malone made the list.

Speaking of Stockton, who was ranked No. 29, Bourguet wrote, ” He’s the NBA all-time leader in assists by a Shaquille O’Neal-sized margin (more than 3,000, to be exact), he only missed 23 games for his entire career (with 18 coming in one season) and though he was never truly dominant, you could have absolutely won a title with John Stockton as your starting point guard.”

The only other Jazzman of the list was Malone, who came in at No. 18.

“Malone could knock down mid-range jumpers, he could finish at the basket, he got better defensively as his career progressed, he won two MVP Awards and he was the best player on a Jazz team that might have brought a championship to Utah on two separate occasions if it weren’t for that Bulls dynasty,” wrote Bourguet.

As for the top of the list, Bourguet had Michael Jordan at No. 1 followed by LeBron James, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Bill Russell and Magic Johnson.

While Bourguet was looking at two former Jazz greats, two current Jazz players, Joe Ingles and Rudy Gobert, were also in the news.

While a fan was sharing his thoughts on Twitter about how ripped Ingles was on an NBA Live video, Ingles was responding about his hair.
