Eric Mika’s first opportunities to show what he can do for the Miami Heat in the Orlando summer league have been sparse through two games.
He has played in one of the first two games as the Heat have started out 0-2 with a seven-point loss the Charlotte Hornets on day 1, followed by a 13-point setback to the Magic on day 2.
In a 74-67 loss to the Hornets, Mika saw 13:01 minutes of action off the bench and provided some nice production on the offensive end. While he didn’t shoot the ball great from the floor, he was able to show off how tenacious he can be as he secured the Heat at least four extra possessions. Two came by way of offensive rebounds, including one that he finished off for his only field goal of the game while the other led to a pair of free-throws. On another occasion he was able to break through a box-out and draw a foul to give the Heat the ball back.
