Former University of Utah running back Matt Asiata appears to have found a new home for the 2017 season.

According to NFL Network and NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport, Asiata signed a one-year deal to suit up for the Detroit Lions.

Justin Rogers of the Detroit News confirmed the signing on Twitter, but also noted that the move would be unlikely to be confirmed by the team until after the holiday weekend.
