Kyle Collinsworth tracker: Collinsworth just misses triple-double in tough loss

Kyle Collinsworth had one of his best games of the season in the Texas Legends’ 116-114 loss to the Los Angeles D-Fenders on Wednesday night.

He played an elite floor game as he missed a triple-double by just one point. He finished the night with nine points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists. He added three steals and a block while not registering a turnover in 35 minutes.

His nine points came on 3 for 7 shooting from the floor, including a miss on his only 3-point attempt. He also connected on 3 of 4 shots from the free-throw line.

One of his three made baskets from the floor came in highlight fashion as he exploded in the lane for a huge left-hand jam.

C.J. Williams and AJ Hammons both had big scoring nights on the other end of Collinsworth passes.

Williams totaled 24 points on 8 for 12 shooting from the floor, including 6 for 9 from 3-point range while Hammons added 22 points and eight rebounds.

Former NBA guard Ben Gordon also had a solid night for the Legends with 22 points on 10 for 19 shooting from the floor.

David Nwaba and Vander Blue did most the damage on the offensive end for the D-Fenders in the win.

Nwaba registered 27 points on 11 for 17 shooting while grabbing a game-high 16 rebounds. Blue added 27 points of his own on the strength of a 4 for 8 shooting performance from 3-point range.

On the season, Collinsworth is averaging 6.7 points on 44.2 percent shooting from the floor to go along with 7.6 rebounds (2.9 on the offensive end), 4.1 assists and 1.9 steals in 29.3 minutes.
