Jimmer Fredette tracker, CBA game 22: Fredette has massive scoring night in tough Sharks win

Jimmer Fredette played all 48 minutes as the Sharks used a big fourth quarter to knock off the Jiangsu Dragons 114-101 on Wednesday night.

Holding onto a three-point lead after three quarters, the Sharks outscored the Dragons 31-21 in the fourth to improve to 20-2 on the season.

Fredette led the way for Shanghai with another huge scoring night, finishing with 46 points on 14 for 24 shooting from the floor, including 3 for 8 from beyond the arc and a perfect 15 of 15 from the foul line. He added eight rebounds, five assists and a steal.

Those numbers were good enough to overcome a 45-point performance from MarShon Brooks who shot 16 for 32 from the floor and 6 for 13 from 3-point range while adding six assists, four rebounds and three steals in 44:11.

Three other Sharks scored in double figures in the win, including Guerschon Yabusele who totaled 19 points on 7 for 12 shooting with five rebounds while Liu XiaoYu added 14 points on 6 for 20 shooting with a team-high six assists.

Samardo Samuels had a productive night for the Dragons who dropped to 11-11 with the loss. He registered 14 points and eight rebounds while Yi Li and Cao Fei finished with 12 points a piece.

On the season, Fredette is averaging a league-leading 39.5 points on 50.5 percent shooting from the floor, including 41.2 percent from 3-point land and 92.6 percent from the foul line. He also chips in with 9.1 rebounds, 4.9 assists and 2.0 steals.

Up next for Fredette and the Sharks is a Friday match-up with the Guangzhou Long-Lions who are 4-18 on the season following a 119-98 loss to Liaoning.

Leading the way for the Long-Lions is D.J Kennedy who is averaging 23.3 points, 10.7 rebounds and 5.7 assists.

Another familiar face to watch for is Alex Stepheson who is averaging 12.2 points and 10.3 rebounds.
