Morning links: Kyle Van Noy happy he went to BYU; Jakob Poeltl with a must-see dunk

Mike Reiss of ESPN took a look at the football journey of former BYU linebacker Kyle Van Noy.

After looking at what he has done since arriving with the New England Patriots, Reiss quotes coach Bill Belichick, saying, “He’s been good to work with, a versatile player. He’s played on the line, off the line, defensive end, in the kicking game. He’s good in pass coverage and can rush. I think he’s got a lot of versatility for us, a good variety of skills.”

Reiss then quoted Van Noy as he looked at his path to the Patriots, including how he landed at BYU. “Mom (Kelly) kind of made me (laughing) to get out of trouble. And I knew I needed to get into a new environment, and ended up being around family and friends. It was really good for me. I’m happy I did it.”
