Jimmer Fredette tracker CBA game 7: Fredette has career rebounding game in loss (video)

The Shanghai Sharks suffered their first loss on the season as they fell 104-103 to the Jilin Northeast Tigers on the road on Wednesday.

The Sharks couldn’t slow down Jabari Brown who finished with 45 points on 12 for 22 shooting from the floor, including 5 for 10 from 3-point range and 16 for 19 from the foul line.

Jimmer Fredette had a tough shooting night in the loss as he finished with 36 points while connecting on 13 of 32 shots from the floor. He did have a solid performance shooting from the outside where he hit 5 of 12 shots from 3-point land and from the free-throw line where he was 5 for 5.

Fredette also contributed in other ways for the Sharks who are now 6-1 on the season. He led the team with a career-high 16 rebounds while adding seven assists and four steals.

Guerschon Yabusele added 17 points and four rebounds for the Sharks while Malcolm Thomas 13 points, 21 rebounds and seven assists for the Tigers.

On the season, Fredette is averaging 39.6 points on 50.5 shooting from the floor, including 45.2 percent from beyond the arc. He is also chipping in with 7.9 rebounds, 5.1 assists and 2.0 steals.

Up next for Fredette and the Sharks is a matchup with Liaoning on Friday night. Liaoning is 6-1 coming off a 157-152 win over Shanxi. Lester Hudson leads the way for Liaoning averaging 36.1 points, 9.7 rebounds and 4.9 assists.

Another familiar face on the roster is Shavlik Randolph who is averaging 22.1 points and 11.9 rebounds.
