BYU made a huge impression on the ESPN Big 12 expansion candidate tracker done by Max Olson.
Olson had the Cougars as the team of the week after their big road victory over Michigan State, saying, “let’s give some props to BYU, whose ridiculously challenging schedule sent the Cougars up to East Lansing to face Michigan State. The Spartans have been disappointing this year, but a 31-14 road upset still is impressive. After playing five extremely close games, BYU finally got a blowout victory and got it against a program that went to the College Football Playoff a year ago.”
