It has been a very exciting season for the former BYU basketball players making a living around the world. Some seasons have already come to and end or are reaching the playoffs while others still have a lot of games remaining on the schedule.

While minutes have been inconsistent for some, all of the former Cougars have had a chance to see significant playing time at different points during the year and put up some nice numbers.

Here is a look a how each of the former BYU players have performed recently.

Charles Abouo, Al Khor (Qatar-D1)

Abouo earned plenty of recognition after a fantastic regular season in Qatar. He was a Asia-Basket.com All-Qatar Second-Team selection after finishing third in the league in points and fifth in rebounding. He was also named the Defensive Player of the Year by Asia-Basket.com after leading the league in steals.

Although the regular season and playoffs are over, there have still been games to play in the Qatar Basketball Cup. Abouo’s best showing in his three cup games came in an 84-77 win when he totaled 26 points, 15 rebounds, six assists and three steals in 40 minutes.

On the season, he played 18 games and averaged 25.8 points on 42 percent shooting with 12.2 rebounds, 4.6 assists and 3.7 steals in 40.2 minutes.

In three Cup games, he averaged 20.3 points, 11.3 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 1.3 steals in 37 minutes.

Rashaun Broadus, MKS Dabrowa Gornicza (Poland-TBL)

Broadus has been solid of late as MKS DG has regained its winning ways. His best showing recently came in a 78-72 overtime loss to Asseco when he had 20 points on 7 for 20 shooting from the floor and 5 for 7 from the free-throw line. He added a team-high eight assists and a block in 42 minutes.

On the season, he has played 27 games and is averaging 15.9 points on 44 percent shooting with 4.2 assists, 3.3 rebounds and 1.0 steals in 33.3 minutes.

Lee Cummard, Crelan Okapi Aalstar (Belgium-Scooore League)

Cummard has been coming on strong as Aalstar has moved up the Scooore League ladder. He had one of his best games of the season in a 107-80 win over league-leading BC Telenet Oostende. In the win, he finished with 14 points on 3 of 5 shooting from the floor, including 2 for 3 from beyond the arc and 6 for 9 from the free-throw line. He added six rebounds, two assists, a block and a steal in 27 minutes.

On the season, he has played 20 games and is averaging 7.8 points on 50.5 percent shooting from the floor, including 43.1 percent from beyond the arc with 4.9 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.0 steals in 24.7 minutes.

Brandon Davies, Openjobmetis Varese (Italy-Serie A)

Davies has been one of the best players for Openjobmetis all season long. He has been producing in the scoring department and on the glass. His best recent outing came in a 92-81 win over Port of Antwerp Giants in the quarterfinals of Europe Cup when he totaled 22 points on 9 of 14 shooting from the floor and 4 for 7 from the foul line. He added 12 rebounds, including four on the offensive end to go along with a block in 26:28.

In 25 games in Italy-Serie A, he is averaging 12.4 points on 45.6 percent shooting from the floor with 6.3 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.0 steals in 25.6 minutes.

In 16 Europe Cup games, he is averaging 16.3 points on 57.7 percent shooting from the floor, including 36.4 percent from 3-point range with 7.6 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 23.9 minutes.

Tyler Haws, Rio Natura Monbus Obradoiro CAB, (Spain-Liga Endesa)

Haws has continued his up-and-down season as Rio Natura Monbus Obradoiro has had a hard time finding the win column. Haws had a decent showing in a loss to Valencia Basket Club and former high school teammate Justin Hamilton. In the 91-79 defeat, Haws registered nine points on 3 for 7 shooting from the floor, including 2 for 3 from 3-point land and a make on his only free-throw attempt in 23:16.

On the season, he has played 25 games and is averaging 7.6 points on 44.8 percent shooting from the floor and 82.1 percent shooting from the free-throw line to go along with 1.4 rebounds in 18.4 minutes.

Jonathan Tavernari, BCC Corvengenze Agropoli (Italy-Serie A2)

Tavernari has continued to shoot the ball from outside even though Agropoli has dropped its last two games. His best recent game came in a 91-92 loss to Lighthouse Conad Trapani when he recorded 17 points on 6 for 14 shooting from the floor, including 5 for 8 from 3-point land. He added six rebounds and a block in 33:57

On the season, he has played 26 games and  is averaging 13.3 points on 41.3 percent shooting from the floor with 4.5 rebounds and 1.0 assists in 31.3 minutes.

Agustin Ambrosino, Alianza Viedma (Argentina-TNA)

Ambrosino and Alianza Viedma are waiting on the playoffs after winning the south division by two games. One of Ambrosino’s best games to close out the season came in an 88-72 loss to Hispano Americano De Rio Gallegos when he had 16 points on 7 for 11 shooting from the floor. He added four rebounds, an assist and a steal in 31 minutes.

On the season, he has played 33 games and is averaging 6.5 points on 43.2 percent shooting from the floor with 4.1 rebounds in 20.3 minutes.

Trent Plaisted, Neptunas, (Lithuania-LKL)

Plaisted has been on a tear lately, producing big numbers off the bench for Neptunas. ONe his best games of the season came in an 82-72 loss to Vytautas when he had 15 points on 7 for 10 shooting from the floor and 1 for 1 from the free-throw line. He added four rebounds (three on the offensive end), and a steal in 16 minutes.

In 12 Lithuanian League games, he is averaging 5.7 points on 51 percent shooting with 3.8 rebounds in 13.5 minutes.

In five Eurocup games, he is averaging 1.4 points on 33.3 percent shooting with 2.8 rebounds in 11.8 minutes.
