Fredette saw action in all four quarters as the Anthony Davis led Pelicans knocked off the Charlotte Hornets 100-91 on Tuesday night to improve to 2-2 on the young season. Davis finished with 24 points on 10 of 17 shooting from the floor to go along with 13 rebounds, three blocks and two assists. Tyreke Evans and Omer Asik also registered double-doubles in the win. Evans registered 16 points, 10 rebounds and five assists while Asik put up 10 points, 11 rebounds and three helpers. Three other Pelicans scored in double digits, including Jrue Holiday who came away with 16 points and nine assists. Ryan Anderson added 16 points and Austin Rivers chipped in with 12 points, five rebounds and three assists coming off the bench.
The Hornets got solid outings from Gary Neal and Al Jefferson in the loss. Neal had a team-high 21 points on 9 of 15 shooting from the floor as well as six boards and six assists while Jefferson added 20 points and five rebounds.
After not playing in the loss on Monday night, Jimmer played 14:06 against the Hornets. In that time, he didnt attempt a shot, but did manage to collect one rebound to go along with a turnover. While he didnt look to score, it is a positive sign that he earned a decent amount of time on the floor for the first time since the season opener.
Up next for Fredette and the Pelicans is a game against the San Antonio Spurs on Saturday night.
