I received a notification from WordPress this afternoon that today is my one-year anniversary of me starting my blog. I can’t believe it has been a year since I started this wonderful and exciting journey. While the time has flown by so quickly the ride has been incredible.
I had no expectations when I started other than the desire to talk sports and the need to get my opinions out there. Never did I imagine where I would be 365 days later.
I have had articles get run on DeseretNews.com and Yahoo as well as stories that were picked up and ran through syndication on KSL, Bleacher Report and ESPN to go along with numerous other places. My website has been viewed by people in 98 countries around the world. Along the way I have been interviewed on the radio and been offered plenty of opportunities to write for other publications.
I didn’t really think that any of this would’ve happened when I started, but am so grateful that It has. I love sports and I love to write about them even more.
On my one year anniversary, I need to thank all the wonderful people who have helped to get to where I am today. My friends and family who go to my site and read and share my stories (even when they don’t like what I am writing about), those who give me feedback to help me Improve my skills, and those who have given me the chance to write for such quality publications. And last, but certainly not least, my dear wife. Since I have started this adventure, she has gone to bed on plenty of occasions with me hacking away at the computer until the early hours of the morning. She has been so patient with me as I have done what I could to reach my dreams.
I know this is only just the beginning, but it has been a great year and I can’t wait to see where it goes from here. After all, I have so much more to say and I know that the best is yet to come.
