The Cougar NBA tracker: Jimmer Fredette, game 50

Without the services of Rajon Rondo, Gerald Wallace took the lead as a distributor and nearly missed a triple-double in the Celtics 99-89 victory over the Sacramento Kings on Friday night.  Wallace finished the night with eight points, nine assists and 12 rebounds while playing more than 40 minutes.  He wasn’t the only Celtics who contributed in a major way however.  Jared Sullinger led the Celtics in scoring and rebounding with 31 points on 14-of-24 shooting as well as 16 rebounds.  Boston also got nice efforts off the bench from Jerryd Bayless and Kelly Olynyk.  Bayless poured in 19 points on 7-of-9 shooting while Olynyk tallied 11 points, nine rebounds and five assists.

DeMarcus Cousins led the way for the short-handed Kings with 31 points and 16 rebounds On a night where Marcus Thornton and Rudy Gay didn’t play.  Isaiah Thomas added 24 points and six assists while Derrick Williams finished with 11 points on just 2-of-11 shooting to go along with 12 rebounds.

Jimmer played just 7:51 and scored two points on 1-of-2 shooting while handing out one assist.

Sacramento is back on the floor on Sunday afternoon as the travel to the Nation’s capital to take on the Wizards.
