Behind a big night from Amare Stoudemire the Knicks beat the 76ers 102-92 on Saturday night.
Stoudemire made 8-of-10 from the field and finished with 21 points in just over 21 minutes of play. The Knicks also got a well-rounded effort from Carmelo Anthony who put up 18 points to go along with nine rebounds and seven assists.
James Anderson led six Philadelphia players in double figures with 17 points on 8-of-13 shooting as well as seven rebounds. The Sixers also got nice efforts from Thaddeus Young, Spencer Hawes and Michael Carter-Williams in defeat. Young registered 15 points, five rebounds, three assists and four steals. Hawes tallied 17 points, seven rebounds and five assists. Carter-Williams put up 11 points, seven rebounds, seven assists and two steals.
Brandon Davies went scoreless in 13:07 of play while missing both of his field goal attempts. He did manage one rebound to go along with a turnover and two fouls.
Philadelphia is back on the floor on Wednesday night as the Charlotte Bobcats come to town.
