The Cougar NBA tracker: Jimmer Fredette, Game 24

Thanks to some outstanding three-point shooting from Kyle Korver, the Atlanta Hawks blew out the Kings by a score of 124-107.

The Kings had a two point leading going into the fourth quarter before the wheels fell off as the Hawks out scored them 39-20 in the final stanza.  The Hawks had six players score in double figures led by Kyle Korver who shot 8-for-10 from three-point range on his way to 28 points.  Al Horford and Jeff Teague also had big night’s for Atlanta.  Horford shot 12-for-19 and finished the game with 25 points, ten rebounds, five assists and four blocks.  Teague finished the night with 15 assists to go along with 18 points and eight rebounds.

The Kings were once again led by the trio of DeMarcus Cousins, Rudy Gay and Isaiah Thomas.  Cousins had 28 points, seven rebounds and six assists on the night while Gay shot 8-for-13 from the floor and finished 22 points and three steals.  Thomas had another solid night with 20 points, ten assists and a pair of steals.

Jimmer Fredette only played nine minutes in the loss but shot 50 percent from the field on his way to nine points.  Fredette also finished two rebounds and an assist for the 7-17 Kings.

The Kings will be back on the floor on Friday night as they take on the Heat in Miami.
