I have always been told that if you don’t like the situation that you are in then you need to do whatever it takes to change it.
That is what the Grambling football players did. I am so proud of them for taking a stand and not getting on the bus to play against Jackson St.
If the players hadn’t taken a stand no one would have fixed the problems that they were experiencing. Sometimes you really need to force people’s hands and that’s what the players did this weekend. People keep saying that there were better ways to handle this situation but I wholeheartedly disagree. That is what needed to be done for changes to be made and I would’ve done the same thing.
Those conditions aren’t good and need to be taken care of right away.
Even the people in charge need to realize that actions or in this case the lack thereof have consequences.
It’s not very difficult to understand. People need to be held accountable and the players made that happen.
I applaud the players who made that choice and wish that all the players would’ve made the same decision.
