Former BYU do-everything guard, Kyle Collinsworth saw action for the third time for the Toronto Raptors on Wednesday night in a 118-91 win over the Brooklyn Nets.
While he played just the final 1:50 of the win, Collinsworth was very productive, scoring his first basket of the preseason on a lay-up while adding a pair rebounds (one on the offensive end), and assisting on a 3-point shot from Chris Boucher.
Through three games on the floor in a Toronto uniform, Collinsworth has totaled three points on 1-for-3 shooting from the field and 1-for-2 from the foul line, while grabbing four rebounds, handing out three assists and collecting two steals in 21 minutes.
Up next for the Raptors is another preseason contest on Thursday against the Pelicans at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans.
Haws scores in double figures in second straight game
Tyler Haws scored in double figures for the second game in a row on Wednesday as Levitec Huesca got beat by Iberojet Palma, 78-58.
In the loss, the Cougars’ all-time leading scorer managed 10 points on the strength 5-for-7 shooting from inside the arc. He added three rebounds, two assists and a steal in 28 minutes.
On the season, Haws is averaging 13.5 points a night on 45.5 percent shooting from the floor and 100 percent from the foul line. He is also contributing 4.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists in 28:18 a night.
Mika has best game of the season in EuroCup action
Eric Mika had his most productive game of the young season as Germani Brescia Leonessa got crushed by MoraBanc Andorra 110-91 in EuroCup action.
In the loss, the former BYU big man totaled seven points on 1-for-3 shooting from the field and 5-for-6 from the foul line. He also chipped in with three rebounds and an assist in 13:33.
Through two games, Mika is putting up 5.5 points on 50 percent shooting from the field and 83.3 percent from the free-throw line, to go along with 2.5 rebounds in 12:28.
Ambrosino delivers big games in Liga Sudamericana De Baloncesto
Agustin Ambrosino has been very productive for Deportivo Calero during the first two days of the group phase of Liga Sudamericana. He has posted double-doubles in back-to-back games as Calero has started out 0-2.
His most productive night came on Tuesday in a 92-73 loss to Iccan De Macas when he registered a team-high 16 points on 40 percent shooting from the field and 100 percent from the foul line. He added a team-best 10 rebounds, two assists, two steals and a pair of blocked shots in 37:36.
Ambrosino followed that up with 11 points and 11 rebounds on Wednesday in another tough loss.
Through two games, the former Cougar is averaging 13.5 points on 45.5 percent shooting from beyond tha arc with 10.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 1.0 steals and 1.0 blocks in 34.6 minutes.
