In a matchup of former BYU Cougars, Brandon Davies and ES Chalon-Sur-Saone came back from a huge first quarter deficit to knock off Trent Plaisted and Limoges CSP Elite 81-72. Limoges got out to a 24-13 lead after the first quarter before Chalon/Saor found some momentum and turned the 11-point hole into a 11-point lead by the end of the third.
Davies was in the starting lineup, but only played 19 minutes because of foul trouble. He still put up some solid numbers with 11 points on 4-for-9 shooting from the floor, including 2-for-4 from beyond the arc and 1-for-2 from the charity stripe. He added five rebounds, two assists and two steals as Chalon/Saor improved to 10-10 on the season.
Ilian Evtimov (North Carolina State) and Marcus Dove (Oklahoma State) led the way in the win. Evtimov finished with 17 points on 6-for-11 shooting from the floor, including 5-for-9 from beyond the arc as well as six rebounds while Dove had 16 points on 6-for-7 shooting from the field and 4-for-4 from the free-throw line. He added a game-high 14 rebounds, a steal and a block. Jason Rich (Florida State) added 16 points on 7-of-14 shooting while Scott Suggs (Washington) chipped in with 11 points and three rebounds.
Adrien Moerman and Joao Paulo Batista (Gonzaga) led the way for Limoges. Moerman had 18 points on 7-for-12 shooting from the floor, including 4-for-6 from distance to go along with eight rebounds and four steals while Batista managed 16 points on 6-for-9 shooting from the floor with six boards. Leo Westermann added 13 points, four assists, four steals and three rebounds. Plaisted played just seven minutes in the loss and had three points on 1-of-2 shooting from both the field and the free-throw line. He also had three offensive rebounds as Limoges fell to 14-6 on the season.
