The Cougar pro basketball tracker, Brandon Davies : Game 3

Brandon Davies had the best performance of his time in France, but it was enough as Chalon/Saor suffered a 80-73 loss to JL Bourg basket on Saturday.

Davies finished with 18 points on 5-for-9 shooting from the floor, including 1-for-3 from beyond the arc and 7-for-9 from the free-throw line. He added five rebounds, three steals and an assist in 33 minutes on the floor.

Jason Rich and Ilian Evtimov (North Carolina State) also had solid showings in the loss. Rich registered 23 points on 7-for-9 shooting from the floor and 7-for-9 from the free-throw line as well as six boards while Evtimov had 13 points and five rebounds. Scott Suggs had an off night as Chalon/Saor fell to 9-10 on the season. He managed just six points on 1-for-10 shooting from the floor, including 1-for-7 from distance.

Bourg was led by Jordan Theodore (Seton Hall) and Devin Booker (Clemson). Theodore had 16 points, seven rebounds and five assists while Booker came away with 16 points on 8-for-10 shooting from the floor and 11 rebounds. Steven Smith (La Salle) added 16 points, four rebounds, three assists and two steals while Jerome Sanchez chipped in with 11 points on 4-of-5 shooting. With the win, Bourg improved to 3-16 on the season.

Up next for Davies and Chalon/Saor is a matchup with JDA Dijon Bourgogne who has a record of 13-6 on the season. Dijon is led by Erving Walker (Florida) who is averaging 16.8 points on 55.2 percent shooting from inside the arc to go along with 5.4 assists and 2.8 rebounds. Steven Gray (Gonzaga) is the main outside threat. He is averaging 15.5 points on 57 percent shooting from 2-point land and 4.15 percent from beyond the arc. They are joined by Andre Harris (Fairleigh Dickinson) who is averaging 11.9 points and four rebounds a contest.
