The 76ers won for the second time in three games as they knocked off the Detroit Pistons 108-101 on Saturday night.
Robert Covington led the Sixers in scoring with 25 points on 9 of 14 shooting from the floor, including 3 of 5 from behind the arc. Michael Carter-Williams and Luc Richard Mbah a Moute also had big games in the win. Carter-Williams had 20 points on 8 of 12 shooting to go along with 15 assists, eight rebounds, three steals and two blocks while Mbah a Moute had 14 points, 11 rebounds, four assists and three steals.
Josh Smith and Kyle Singler led the way for the Pistons in the loss. Smith had 23 points, eight rebounds, seven assists and three blocks while Singler had 21 points on 8 of 14 shooting as well as six rebounds and two steals. Greg Monroe added 15 points, nine rebounds and a pair of steals off the bench.
Brandon Davies saw 12:36 of action and finished with six points on 3 of 7 shooting to go along with six rebounds and two steals. All three of his baskets came in the third quarter, including a hook shot, a lay up and a midrange jumper.
Up next for Davies and Philadelphia is a game against the Atlanta Hawks on Wednesday.
