Jimmer Fredette was back on the floor as the New Orleans Pelicans went into Utah and knocked off the Jazz 106-94 on Saturday night.
Anthony Davis had a monster night for the Pelicans with a career-high 43 points on 16 of 23 shooting from the field and 11 of 12 shooting from the free-throw line. He also added 14 rebounds, two steals and a block in the win. The only other person to score in double figures for New Orleans was Jrue Holiday who registered 19 points to go along with six rebounds and a game-high nine assists.
Gordon Hayward led the way for the Jazz with 31 points on 9 of 16 shooting from the floor and 11 of 14 from the free-throw line. He also contributed eight rebounds, three assists and two steals. Trey Burke chipped in with 20 points and four assists while Derrick Favors added 13 points, 11 rebounds and two blocks.
Fredette played 8:26 during the end of the third and the start of the fourth quarter, but was held scoreless on 0 of 2 shooting. He did has some nice moments however, including a play where he stole the inbound pass and found a streaking Anthony Davis for an emphatic jam. On the night, he finished with a rebound, an assist and a steal.
Up next for Fredette and the Pelicans is another matchup with the Sacramento Kings on Tuesday night.
