Brandon Davies saw plenty of minutes as the Chicago Bulls outlasted the Philadelphia 76ers 118-115 on Friday night thanks to a blistering shooting night from beyond the arc.
Mike Dunleavy led six Bulls in double figures with 27 points on 9 of 15 shooting, including 5 of 8 from 3-point range. Chicago also got a big night from Jimmy Butler who totaled 23 points on 8 of 15 shooting to go along with seven rebounds and five assists. Pau Gasol led the team with 12 rebounds and two blocks while adding 17 points.
Tony Wroten finished with a game high 31 points to go with seven assists and five rebounds. Hollis Thompson and Luc Richard Mbah a Moute also had solid contributions in the loss. Thompson had 21 points on 7 of 14 shooting from the field, including 3 of 6 from distance while Mbah a Moute chipped in with 16 points, 11 rebounds and three assists.
After spending back-to-back games in the starting line-up, Davies came off the bench and saw 24:28 of action and put up seven points on 3 of 7 shooting, including 1 of 3 from the 3-point line. He also tied his career high with three assists while grabbing two rebounds.
Up next for Davies and the 76ers is a game against the Toronto Raptors on Sunday.
