The Cougar NBA tracker, Brandon Davies: Game 4

Davies had another solid effort as the 76ers fell to 0-4 on the season with a 104-93 loss to the undefeated Houston Rockets on Monday night.

Tony Wroten led the way for Philadelphia with 20 points, five rebounds, five steals and four assists.  Five other 76ers scored in double figures including K.J. McDaniels with 14 and Alexey Shved with 12 off the bench.  Nerlens Noel also had a decent game with 10 points on 5 of 8 shooting to go along with six steals and five assists.

James Harden carried the load for the Rockets with 35 points on the strength of 17-for-18 shooting from the free-throw line.  He also added nine rebounds and five assists in the win.  Houston also got a stellar shooting night from Trevor Ariza who knocked down 6 of 9 from beyond the arc on his way to 24 points.  On a slow night offensively, Dwight Howard still made his presence felt with 11 points, 14 rebounds, four blocks, three assists and three steals.

In the first start of his NBA career, Davies played 24 minutes and had another double-digit scoring game.  H finished the night with 13 points on 5-for-10 shooting from the field and 2-for-3 from the free-throw line.  He also contributed in other ways with four rebounds, three assists and a block.

Up next for the surprising Davies and Philadelphia is a Wednesday night battle with the Orlando Magic.
