Blackhawks vs. Kings is must watch television.

Note: have to let you know that I may be a little bias because I am a die-hard hockey fan from Canada.  I am not a fan of either team, but each team does have some Canadian heroes from this past Olympics so it makes it very easy for me to cheer.

I don’t care who you are, what sports you love the most or what teams you follow, there is nothing better in sports than a game seven in the NHL playoffs.  Whether you are a fan of hockey or not, The game between the Chicago Blackhawks and the Los Angeles Kings on Sunday night is a must watch.

The up and down pace that takes place during a game like this is so exciting that you cant help but be on the edge of your seat the entire time.  There will be plenty of great scoring chances, great goaltending and some of the best athletes in the world.  Just look at it as soccer on steroids.  One of the best American goalies of all-time is in net for the Kings in Jonathan Quick and he will be facing two of the best forwards the game has to offer in Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews. The Blackhawks also have a great back line led by Duncan Keith and Brent Seabrook who will  need to play their best if they expect  to slow down the likes of Anze Kopitar, Jeff Carter, Marian Gaborik and the rest the Kings.  And lets not forget the importance of Corey Crawford who will be between the pipes for Chicago.  Although he isn’t as big a name as Quick is, he has been the starter on a Stanley Cup champ already and will no doubt be up for the task.

If you haven’t taken the time to sit down and try the game of hockey than tonight is your night.  And when it’s over you will wonder why you waited so long to consume one of the greatest sports ever invented.
