The Cougar NBA tracker: Brandon Davies, game 76

Behind huge a night from both Michael Carter-Williams and Henry Sims, the Philadelphia 76ers beat the Boston Celtics 111-102 on Friday night.  Carter-Williams finished with 24 points on 9-of-14 shooting as well as six rebounds and six assists while Sims totaled 24 points on the strength of 14-of-18 shooting from the free-throw line and nine rebounds.  Philadelphia also got solid efforts from Elliot Williams and Thaddeus Young in the win.  Williams registered 15 points on 5-of-7 shooting and four steals while Young added 15 points and eight rebounds.

Jerryd Bayless led the Celtics in scoring with 23 points while Rajon Rondo added 11 points, 11 rebounds and 16 assists. Boston also got solid efforts from Brandon Bass and Kelly Olynyk.  Bass totaled 12 points and 11 rebounds while Olynyk finished with 14 points, six rebounds and three assists in just under 20 minutes on the floor.

Brandon Davies played 10:53 and ended up with five points on 2-of-3 shooting from the floor.  He also added an assist and a steal.

The 76ers are back in action on Saturday night when the Brooklyn Nets come to town.
