Behind a huge night from the Knicks starting front court trio of Carmelo Anthony, Tyson Chandler and Amare Stoudemire, New York managed to outlast the struggling Philadelphia 76ers 93-92 on Friday night. Stoudemire led the way for the Knicks with 22 points on 10-of-15 shooting as well as 10 rebounds While Anthony added 21 points to go along with eight rebounds and five assists. Chandler chipped in with 17 points and 10 rebounds as the Knicks won their eighth game in a row.
Michael Carter-Williams led the Sixers with 22 points, 13 rebounds and nine assists. Thaddeus Young added 21 points, seven rebounds and four steals while Henry Sims chipped in with 16 points on 6-of-10 shooting and 13 rebounds.
Brandon Davies did not play for Philadelphia in the loss.
The 76ers are back on the floor on Saturday night when they travel to Chicago to take on the Bulls.
