The Cougar NBA tracker: Jimmer Fredette, game 68

In the (nonexistent) battle between former BYU stars, the Chicago Bulls outlasted the Philadelphia 76ers 102-94 on Wednesday night.  Six Bulls’ scored in double figures led by D.J. Augustin and Taj Gibson off the bench.  Augustin scored 20 points on 4-of-6 shooting from 3-point range while Gibson added 19 points and 13 rebounds.  Chicago also got double-doubles from Carlos Boozer and Joakim Noah.  Boozer finishing with 12 points and 11 rebounds while Noah chipped in with 14 points, 10 rebounds, six assists and four blocks.

Thaddeus Young led the way for the Sixers with 24 points on 10-of-19 shooting and four steals.  Michael Carter-Williams added 16 points, nine rebounds and seven assists.  Tony Wroten and Byron Mullens also scored in double figures in the loss. Wroten totaled 17 points to go along with six rebounds, seven assists and six rebounds. Mullens registered 12 points, three rebounds and two steals in just 15 minutes of action.

Brandon Davies played just three minutes in his second game back from injury and finished with two points and a rebound.

Jimmer Fredette did not play for the sixth time in ten games as a member of the Bulls.  If playing time was what Fredette was looking for when he signed in Chicago that clearly hasn’t materialized.  He has played a total of just 18 minutes.  In that time, Jimmer has scored a total of 12 points.

The Bulls are back in action on Friday night when they travel to Indiana to take on the East-leading Pacers.
