The Spurs got off to a blistering start and never looked back as the beat up on the Chicago Bull 104-96 on Tuesday night. San Antonio scored 38 of the game’s first 52 points to take a 24-point lead after one-quarter and ended all suspense of it being a close game.
Manu Ginobili led the way with 22 points on 9-of-11 shooting from the floor while Tony Parker added 20 points and nine assists. Kawhi Leonard also had a solid outing with 16 points and nine rebounds in the win.
The Bulls were led by D.J. Augustin who finished with 24 points on 7-of-10 shooting to go along with four assists. He was followed by Jimmy Butler who totaled 23 points and six rebounds. Chicago also got a solid game from Joakim Noah who put up 13 points, eight rebounds, seven assists and two blocks.
Fredette played his most minutes in a Bulls uniform to this point and was a +17 in 7:47 on the floor. Jimmer finished with five points on 2-of-4 shooting from the field including a make on his only 3-point attempt. He also added two rebounds and an assist.
The Bulls are back on the floor on Thursday night when James Harden and the Houston Rockets come to town.
